Mt. Olive –It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Rebecca Gooding Graham who departed this world peacefully at home on July 24, 2026, her 37th birthday. Born in Bellafontaine, Ohio, on July 24, 1989, Rebecca was a cherished daughter, mother, granddaughter, and friend, whose presence lit up every room with her beautiful smile and compassionate heart. Rebecca was the adored daughter of Patrick and Michelle Gooding of Mt Olive and the beloved mother of James Graham, Jennifer Graham, and Thomas Deaver. Her legacy of love and kindness continues to shine brightly through her children. Brother James Smearman. Aunt Cheryl Strickland, Uncles David and Daniel Howell. She is also survived by her grandparents, Barbara and Donald Kelley, Wayne and June Howell, and Deloris York, who treasured her deeply. Also A proud graduate of North Duplin High School in the Class of 2007, Rebecca pursued her passion for nursing, earning her LPN from Wayne Community College in 2009. Her dedication to helping and healing others defined her career for over a decade, during which she touched countless lives with her gentle care. In 2025, Rebecca achieved her Associate of Science Degree, a testament to her commitment to lifelong learning and personal growth. A celebration of Rebecca's life will be held on July 31, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Mt Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church, located at 130 Ed Edmundson Road, Mt Olive, NC. Visitation with the Family will be at 1:00 prior to the service. Family, friends, and all who knew Rebecca are invited to join in honoring her remarkable life and the joy she brought to those around her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to Celebrate Recovery, an organization close to Rebecca's heart c/o Mt Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church 130 Ed Edmundson Road, Mt Olive NC 28365. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support and prayers they have received during this difficult time. Rebecca's memory will forever live in our hearts, and her spirit will continue to inspire us in the days ahead. May we carry forward her legacy of kindness, compassion, and love, honoring the beautiful soul she was and will always be.
