Richard Eugene Gray Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard Eugene Gray, Sr., 200 Amblewood Lane, surrounded by his loving family, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. He was the President of Richard E. Gray Family Properties and Gray Construction Co. A graveside service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117 South, Dudley. The Rev. Fred Crank and Rev. George C. Lee will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday 5:00-8:00, at the residence and after the service. Surviving, is his wife of 48 years, Linda Tyndall Gray, one daughter, Dawn Gray Norris and her husband Danny of Goldsboro, and two sons, Richard E. (Ricky) Gray, Jr. of Goldsboro and Tracy Scott Gray and his wife Rhonda Sauls Gray of Grifton. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Raymond Hicks, Jamie Hicks, Shawn Hicks, Brooke Norris, Brandon Gray, Jacob Norris and Mckenzie Norris and a great grandchild, Olivia Brooke Martin. His mother, Marie Williams Gray Hinnant, preceded him in death. Mr. Gray was a member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, on the Board of Trustees, and taught Sunday School. He was also a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. The family requested, in lieu of flowers, that memorials be made to Victory Free Will Baptist Church, 1806 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
