Hattie Lou Elmore Futrelle died Monday, October 28, 2013. Funeral is Tuesday, 7:00 PM at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church. Committal service is Wednesday at 11:00AM at the Church Cemetery. Surviving is her daughters; Bonnie F. Mozingo (Gordon), Alice F. Murphy (Randy) and Joan F. King (Al). Grandchildren: Dawn M. Gardner (Stewart) and Christopher G. Mozingo, Heather M. Odom (Alvin), Chase H. King, Chandler N. King , Jessica M. McDermott (Gregory) . Great-Grandchildren; Anna-Gordon Gardner, Kennedy R. Odom, Savannah B. Odom, Katelynn M. McDermott and Joseph A. McDermott. Sister, Mollie E. Tart (Selva) and a brother, Pat Elmore (Louise). She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Rev. Foy C. Futrelle, her parents, Julia Kennedy Elmore and James Franklin Elmore, brothers, Woodrow Elmore and Blake Elmore. Hattie Lou worked simultaneously with her late husband, ministering to the needs of the churches and supported the communities where they served. She accompanied her husband on every hospital and parishioner visit. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved and cared for many during her time here on this earth. Flowers are welcome.
