Ella Greene, 88, of East Grand Forks, MN died Thursday, April 19, 2022 a her home. Ella Greene was born October 17, 1932 in Cripple Creek, VA the daughter of Worley and Ollie (Rosenbaum) Wampler. She grew up in Cripple Creek, VA and graduated from Cripple Creek High School. She worked for Washington Mills in Fries, VA. She married Elwin Greene in Fries, VA on October 30, 1954. They lived in North Carolina, and Rhode Island. She worked at a daycare and secretary for R and L Woodworks. She is survived by her husband Elwin of East Grand Forks, MN, children, Richard (Terry) Greene, North Carolina, James Greene of Minnesota, Rose (Larry)( Metzger of North Dakota, and Clay (Cheryl) Greene of Virginia, 13 grand children, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, 4 sisters, Jane Newman, Paige Waller, Hallie (Bill) Chinault and Becky (Larry) Thornton. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Della Rae Morris, and brother in laws, Joe Morris, Charles Waller and Wilson Newman. No services are planned for this time. Burial will be held at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Care for Mrs. Greene entrusted to Dahl Funeral Home, East Grand Forks, MN and Evergreen Funeral Home, Cemetery & Cremation, Goldsboro, NC.
