Cecil Worth Holland Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

PIKEVILLE – Cecil Worth Holland, 93, died Sunday with his family by his side. Funeral services 2:00 PM Wednesday Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church, 1283 Union Grove Church Road, Fremont, Rev. John Massengill officiating. Committal will follow in the Holland Family Cemetery. The family will received friends Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 at the church. Survived by two sons; Henry Holland (Gail) of Lenoir and John Holland (Ranie) of Pikeville; grandchildren; Adam Holland (Janet) of Granite Falls, Lori Holland Gibson of Pikeville, Jonathan Holland (Melissa) of Fremont; and four great-grandchildren, John Austin Gibson, Lorissa Bailey Gibson, Caitlin Jade Holland and Alana Grace Holland. A native of the Sasser Mill Community of Wayne County and preceded in death by his parents Bessie Cagle Holland and Rufus Henry Holland his wife of 64 years Ruby Lee Ferrell Holland (2006), a grandson, Hank Holland and a sibling Alton Holland. Mr. Holland was an active member of Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He was also a member of Harmony Lodge # 340 A.M. & F.M. of Pikeville.
