Jane Porterfield Myers Craig, 94, Old Mill Place, died peacefully Saturday at Wayne UNC Health Care Center.
She was a native of Winchester, VA and preceded in death by her husband George Linden Craig, Jr. her parents Marion Vernon Stouffer Myers and Walter Danny Myers and a sister Marion “Jiggs”.
She was a lifelong Episcopalian, having spent many years as member of Christ Episcopal Church in Winchester, VA., later a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church on N. James Street.
A Memorial service will be held for Mrs. Craig at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10 am. Family and friends are asked to gather after the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church for a time of visitation (refreshments will be provided).
She is survived by her sons, Walter “Chip” Myers Craig (Becky) of Goldsboro and George Linden Craig, III (Nancy) of Winchester, VA; her grandchildren and their spouses and great grandchildren, Sarah Kathryn Craig, Kristin Craig and Steven Beneditt (Jane), Marion and Dan Hinkley (Lleyton, Rangeley, Brooks and Hayes), Kari Elizabeth Craig, George Linden Craig IV, Virginia and Paul Haagenson (Lydia, Joshua and Micah), Stephanie and Carter Alford (Lucas), and Meredith Linden Craig.
