Gene Eloshway, 212 Daniel Drive died Thursday peacefully in his sleep at Kitty Atkins Hospice Center with his family by his side.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 4:00 P. M. in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, 1101 East Ash Street. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in McChesney Hall.

Surviving is a son Greg Eloshway (Claire) and their daughters, Kathryn of Faison and Lyndsey E. Lee (Craig) of Clayton. A daughter Terri Eloshway Cangelosi (Gary) of Huntersville, NC and their children, Courtney, Trevor and Kelsey. Sisters, Mary E. Rager and Margaret E. Malanosky both of Fredericktown, PA and Elizabeth E. Tilton and Wilma E. Pagac both of Rickyville, PA. Brothers, Charles Eloshway of Saint Petersburg, FL and William Eloshway of Washington, PA.

He was a native of Centerville, PA and was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Minnie Bogue Eloshway and his parents Sophia Wasko Eloshway and Charles Eloshway. Gene was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served on the Troubleshooter Committee. He was a football officiator for a number of years in Eastern North Carolina. He was a member of the Eastern North Carolina Official Association and the North Carolina Official Association. He served his country in the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army. He retired from E. I. DuPont in Kinston.
